Over the past week or so, I've gotten to partake in a lot of random fall fun. Aside from Chiefs games, there hasn't been much of that going on, so it was a great change!
Last Wednesday, I went home again to Columbia with my roommate so she could get her hair cut. I spent my night sitting in a Starbucks doing my homework. I even got to see Sammie, which took me back to my life and love of college during undergrad. Home is where the tigers are.
Thursday was parent/teacher conferences here in Chilli, MO, which meant that there was no school on Friday. This, in turn, meant that I got to spend a long weekend home with my fam bam, friends, and fiance. AND NOT ONLY THAT, but I got to see my main man, Athen, and do some really fun fall things with him.
First though, a picture of my cat trying to look regal, as well as the two huge pumpkins A and I picked out but didn't get to carve yet :(
First, I showed A how to make hot chocolate with milk. It's about 20x better. Then we filled up our mugs with ghost shaped marshmallows and chugged it up!
Then we put together sticker jack-o-laterns that we got from the owner of the restaurant down the street. He's pretty darn cute so people like to give him neat stuff!
FINALLY, we baked Halloween cupcakes. Athen picked out Devils Food Cake cake mix and chocolate frosting. We rounded up some orange sprinkles at the house and then went to town. I showed him how to frost the cupcakes himself, and he did awesome! Then he asked to put ghosts on one of his cupcakes and I thought, "Why not?!" We waited a bit, and then of course, we ate them! Such a fun day with this little guy.
Saturday night, I attended a Halloween get together with just a few friends. Here's a couple pictures of us ladies. As you can see, I went all out on the costume....whoops?
Last but not least, while this is not really "fall fun," it
is a reminder that the big day is coming fast! Thanks for this fun text from one of my beautiful bridesmaids! :)
