I got to spend my day yesterday at the Chiefs game with some of my favorite people on the planet, PLUS on top of that we got to watch our team improve their record to 4-0! Between good food, pumpkin beer, and great people... I'd call it a successful day even though I did get an awful sunburn that is only on the left side of my face and neck! :)

HOMECOMING: CHILLI MO STYLE
This week was homecoming in Chillicothe. Like all things I've experienced dealing with the school, it was a treat. For being a small town, man do they celebrate! Spirit week was fun; I got to watch kids go all out in different outfits and such, but Friday topped it off. The pep rally during school that day was crazy! They went all out with blow horns and prizes and signs. Of course we (the staff) gave the spirit stick to the seniors though! :) Friday night was the chili supper at school, and then the game/crowing of king and queen. The Hornets didn't pull out a win, but they held their own against a state ranked team! Still so very proud!
The whole experience definitely led me to being nostalgic about my high school days. I miss this type of stuff! Here are some pictures from this week:
Trader Joes + an iPhone
Just a couple of the things I picked up on a fun little shopping excursion with my mom last weekend. Yummy treats from Trader Joe's and the technological upgrade I've been waiting for a while now - a green cell phone! ;)

Mid-term Gifts
Friday was midterm in Chillicothe (half way through first quarter ALREADY??), so to mark the occasion I decided to put together small "treats" for my roommates. The year is 1/8 over already! CRAZY!

6 things I miss about KC
Living in Chillicothe has been a transition for everyone. I find myself trying to find a balance between my life and work there and the people I love most in Kansas City. I like Chillicothe, really, but I wish I could transplant my people from KC there. Here are the six things I miss most about home:
- My friends and family
- Benjamin Lee Duvall
- Old Navy
- Various shopping options
- Olive Garden bread sticks
- My matress pad
Oh, HEY
Hey guys! Things have been prettyyyy busy around my part of town - so here's a quick little update!
I've been attending all of the home football games in Chilli, MO. I've got a handful of guys on the team!
A few of my best ladies and I had a Starbucks date/invitation work day. Here's a picture of my coffee - you'll have to wait to see the invitations in the mail! ;)
Two of my roommates and I went to a local restaurant in Chillicothe that has happy hour pizza on Wednesday's. I got half Hawaiian and half "Nico'z special." Both were pretty good, but the wait was a bit ridiculous.
I've basically just been living the dream of a teacher... grading essay's and being in a classroom all day.
I got to witness my roommate Alli try Chick-Fil-A for the first time. Overall concensus was that she loved it - especially the Chick-Fil-A sauce.
I spent numerous hours of my life watching play-by-play of the Chiefs game in Philly due to a storm and lack of access to a TV, radio, or internet! 3-0!!
Last but not least, on Saturday, I went and got my first real hairs cut since I shaved my head in February. Seven months of growth and I finally have clean ends and a little bit of a shape to my hair now! Plus I made a 7 year old, autistic best friend named Annie at the hair salon who showed me a lot of pictures of hair cuts she wanted. She only had one shoe.

- My reading assignments for my Non-Fiction were reallyyyyy cool this week!
- I tried a local restaurant's infamous pizza (only served on Wednesday's) this week. It was prettyyy good!
- I made it through the day today on 5.5 hours of sleep!

TOP 3 MUSICAL ARTISTS (OF THE MOMENT)

1. The Backstreet Boys. This obsession has been going on for years, and reignited due to attending their concert last month. Shortly following, Ben bought me their CD package for my birthday. I can't take it out of my car.

2. Katy Perry. ROAR is my anthem. Yes, I feel 16 sometimes
3. Jason Mraz is the perfect example of my ideal musical genre. I love him.

Old Navy fashion!
Picture compliments of Old Navy
As an Old Navy employee, I can't help but be an avid Old Navy shopper. The prices are awesome, so our discount enables us to get some great deals! Old Navy just released their Fall picks from their lines, and I. AM. IN. LOVE. Check out this great military jacket, these cute cap toed flats, and the ever popular Rockstar jeans in new colors!
Chiefs Home Opener
If you know me (or have read this blog), you know about my love for the Kansas City Chiefs. It's a family tradition, and a love for a team come what may. With that said, yesterday was our home opener! We played the Dallas Cowboys - and pulled out a win, moving us to 2-0!
Here are a few snapshots!:
This is my beautiful friend Audra! She is due the first week of January with a little baby girl, so we've decided that each week we will take a belly pic! Can't wait to meet her!
Friends since elementary school! Love getting to spend time with them. I'm so glad Stacey got a season ticket with my family this year!
