SPORTS: KC Chiefs vs Buffalo Bills

This past weekend, the Chiefs took on the Buffalo Bills at home. We had not had a home game since we played the Steelers a few weeks back, so our tailgate crew was looking forward to getting together, hanging out, and watching some football together. Then we looked at the weather forecast... Not only was it going to be cold, but it was supposed to rain ALL DAY. If you know me, you know how my psoriatic skin does with being wet for extended periods of time, and if you don't know, it's not good. So to start, I had to pack.

"Pack?" you say? Yes. We leave early to tailgate and I live about 25 minutes from my parents' house (where everybody meets), so Stacey and I usually have a sleepover at their house the night before. We grab dinner, chat, etc. so it's part of game weekend in my opinion. In order to stay there though, I have to pack everything I need for game day. When the weather is going to be cold... you take almost everything you own. Pictured below:

To give you some intel, I ended up taking 4 pairs of leggings, jeans, sweatpants, ski coveralls, t-shirt, 2 long-sleeved t-shirts, long-sleeve t-shirt hoodie, hoodie, zip up sweatshirt, jersey, coat, ball cap, ear warmers, gloves, 2 scarves, insulated boots, and 5 pairs of socks. Believe it or not, I wore almost everything.

Now for the fun part: tail-gate pictures.

As you can guess, we didn't snap as many photos as we usually do because of the rain. I literally kept my cell phone in plastic bag all day so that it wouldn't get wet - this is why the picture of me and Stacey is blurry. :)

In the end, the Chiefs ended up picking up the W! I've been pleased to see them getting back to some fundamental football and taking some chances on down-field plays. Now that they've won this game, they are on a 5 game winning streak, have improved their record to 6-5, have moved up to no. 10 in power rankings, and are in line for the Playoff Wildcard spot.

It's a great time to be alive and love the Kansas City Chiefs.
