I quickly realized that Journalism wasn't going to be the right idea for me, and floated in "Undeclared" land for my Sophomore year of college. I then took some time to reflect on my life, and to figure out who made me who I was, who changed my life... who I wanted to be like when I grew up.
It was so easy. A teacher.
So here is a well deserved "thank you" to every teacher I've ever had. A reminder that what you do is special, brilliant, and so very important. You are the most multi-talented, wonderful people I've ever come to know. You're the reason I've come this far, and the reason that I strive to go further.
In addition, here's an apology. For acting up on Friday's and making your days that much harder, for not telling you I had a teacher's copy of our Literature novel, or for eating in your class every day when you told us every day that we couldn't. Probably for other things too. I've learned the error of my ways now that I'm in your shoes. :)
As a teacher, I feel like my goal is to strongly impact (at least) one child. Know that you've impacted me.
