Over the past weekend, a lot of fun festivities took place. Lucky for us, Ben's aunt, uncle, and 2 (of 3) cousins came to visit us from Crystal Lake, IL. We only get to see them a handful of times a year, if we're lucky, so this was quite the treat! They came to town for a wedding on Friday night so Ben and I got to go to Funhouse Pizza with the 2 cousins, plus his his second cousin's family.
On Saturday morning, a large group of Ben's extended family went out to eat at an Italian style buffet in Kansas. I have to say that one of the many things that this relationship has blessed me with, is the fact that his extended family is so close and spends as much time together as possible, regardless of how far apart they all live. Following brunch, I rushed home to get ready and pick up Jessica to take her to her bachelorette party at her lake house in Warsaw, MO! We took the 2-ish hour drive down and played a few fun games, had a few good drinks, and went into town for dinner at their local Mexican restaurant! Not necessarily in that order! I don't have many pictures of the decorations or anything, but here are a couple weird shots of the night, haha.
