When I got my teaching job through Fellows for the year, I knew that this would mean cutting back (if not quitting) my job at Old Navy. I have complained about retail many times, but when it comes down to it, I really do like my job and the people that work there. So, here I am... starting my SIXTH holiday season at Old Navy. We've been through dozens of managers, hundreds of incompetent seasonal workers, and a number of hours that I have been under-paid for... but nothing compares to Black Friday!
To start, once again, we were given a hideous staff t-shirt. Over the years I've mastered dressing up my shirt; after all, we work in a retail/fashion environment. So here's what we did for the big event:
After flying back from Chicago Friday morning, it was set to be a long night considering I had to work from 4p-12a. Closing up shop is a tough job on days like this one, so Ben took me to Yogurtini to gain some extra sugar for my life! Very much appreciated.
Here's a snapshot of my Old Navy magic! Only took me an hour! :)
