Christmas in Chilli

Having been living away in a whole new town, with brand new roommates... Christmas celebrations away from home were on the mind this year. Let me tell you... Christmas is much different as an adult, and this year I finally felt like that's what I am. I'm no longer an undergraduate visiting home for Christmas. I'm a teacher, taking Master's classes, and planning my wedding. Gifts were thought out in advance and Christmas flew by!

Here's what Christmas in Chilli looked like this year:

Spirit week, my girls' basketball games, an prepping work for next semester all came into play the final week that we had school.

My roommates and I celebrated by having a homecooked meal, all sitting down at the table for dinner at the SAME TIME, and then exchanged a few presents! I was showered with wonderful girfts and yummy candy!

I've also been blessed with some great coworkers who gave me a few gifts as well. A beautiful scarf, a great thirty-one cosmetic bag, giftcards, and more!

Being away during the holiday season is strange, for sure. But being able to be surrounded by the great people that I am makes it a bit easier. I still wish we had had a tree in the house though!
