Breakfast in KC (Stop 6/16)

Hello, friends!! I hope the week is going well. As you might know, I'm on a trip with my parents and cousin cross country to NYC right now, so I tried to get a couple things queued for ya!

My fourteen-year-old cousin came to KC for a few days before we left for the trip, and while she was there we decided to take her out for breakfast. Ben had a Saturday morning off, so we headed down to Succotash to try it out. Ben's bank manager is a vegan and they offer a lot of vegan/vegetarian options, so he highly recommended it.

We were pleased to not have to wait when we got there, we got our coffee right away, and our server was a doll. Nesi ordered this really yummy apple lemonade juice that was made fresh for her too!

As far as our food orders: Nesi ordered pancakes [no photo], Ben ordered "Cake and a Smile," and I orded "Peachy Swedes."

Ben's food is pretty self-explanatory in nature. Mine was interesting; It was Swedish pancakes [thinner than pancakes, thicker than crepes] filled with semi-sweeted ricotta cheese, topped with ginger peaches. The taste was GREAT, the texture... eh, it was a little one note for me. I ended up ordering toast so that there was a little bit more of a crunch factor/variation of texture to my meal.

If given the chance, I think I would go back to try Succotash again just to give it another chance. It's not THEIR fault that I didn't LOVE the texture when it's a hit with so many other guests! I would give them a rating of 7/10! Have any of you been there? What did you think?
