GUYS! This has been the greatest season. Seriously. I know that not everybody is a Chiefs fan, but HOLY COW, there's no way that you haven't noticed them this year.
This past weekend was our final home game of the season. Thankfully, there was no rain again, and not only that, but there was sunshine! It was chilly but not freezing while we hung out before the game, and we had a great group of people at our tailgate. A lot of our friends came out and we also made new friends and had them come over. Between the food, the drinks, and the company it was the my favorite tailgate maybe EVER.

The game turned out to be closer than we would have liked. The Chiefs defense is having to work with Tamba and Houston being out or limited these past couple of weeks. The Chiefs ended up pulling it out with a 23-17 victory. With this victory, the Chiefs set themselves up to potentially win their division with a Broncos loss on Sunday. Unfortunately, the Broncos beat the Chargers so that didn't work out.

As the regular season comes to a close, I find myself to be even more thankful for these people than I ever have been. I'm so thankful that as we grow older, my brother and I have the opportunity for our friends to hang out with each other and get along. I'm thankful for people who genuinely care about what is going on in my life and with my health. I'm thankful for true and honest friendships fostered over a love for sports. I look forward to Chiefs season and the Sundays that we get to spend together.

If you've been following the Chiefs at all this season, you know that we started the season off 1-5. It was rough, but we continued going to games and having a good time. Now, after 16 games, we ended the season 11-5 after a 10-game winning streak! It was truly one of the greatest comeback stories. This streak set a franchise record and earned us a Wild Card spot in the playoffs. It also marks the first year that the Royals and Chiefs have ever made the playoffs in the same year. Hello, Kansas City sports!
The Chiefs will play the Texans at Houston this Saturday at 3:35pm. As I mentioned last time, there is a crew of us heading down for the game. My brother, two of his friends, two of my best friends, and I are going down to take in the game and relish in this great Kansas City sports year. At this point, we're being favored by three. We'll head down and stay two nights, and we're looking forward to having a great time!
Tune back in next week for an update about what is sure to be a great trip! GO CHIEFS!
