BUSY LIFE

If you read my post about SantaCaliGon a few days back, then you know I was able to go home to visit my fam bam and fiance for Labor Day weekend. It's always great to see them, it doesn't happen often enough now that I'm living up in Chillicothe and teaching. Anywho, it was an eventful weekend! Here are some snapshots of the memorable moments:

First, I walked in the door to a bouquet of flowers and a homemade card, both from Ben, congratulating me on finishing my first full week of teaching, etc! Yay! That night (Friday), Ben and I also went on a date to one of our favorite restaurants - Blanc Burgers and Bottles. Dates aren't common anymore, so I relished in my time with him.

Saturday, I got up early and my mom and I went to the KC River Market to shop the fresh produce and baked goods. We made out like bandits with tons of fresh things for a cheap price! Following that, we went to SantaCaliGon to peruse crafts, and ran a few other errands. Saturday night my family made dinner as a team. I contributed the potatoes!

Sunday, we lounged and were lazy, then we went to my cousin Samantha's house for dinner! I love seeing that part of my family, and again, since I've moved I don't get to very often. We had chicken, steak, potatoes, macaroni, corn... so yummy! Following that, Ben and I went to SantaCaliGon to get his precious root beer and funnel cake!

Monday came quickly, but was no less filled with people I loved. I started out by having coffee with my friend Stacey. Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back and I am so excited! Something I can look forward to when I head into the city. For lunch I went with my mother and Ben to BD's Mongolian BBQ. It's kind of like build your own stir-fry that they cook in front of you. After lunch, I was on my way back to Chilli.

Since returning home to Chillicothe, I've been trying to get myself in gear for school and life. I went through and organized all of my school assignments and meal planned for the next week. I'm hoping that by doing this, I will be more conservative on grocery shopping to accomplish 2 things - money saving and eating healthier.

Something else exciting is that the 4th of September marked 4 months until Ben and I get married!!!!

Last but not least, Friday, September 6th was Chilli's first home football game! They won 42-8! Go Hornets!
