Catch up & register?!

Hey guys! This week has been crazy! After returning from Wisconsin, we definitely hit the ground running!

Saturday night (the day we came back) we drove straight to a family friend's wedding reception down in the city! The night was fun, the decorations were pretty, & the new (official) family was glowing! Plus the band that my brother - and the groom - are in played at the reception!

On Monday I left town again to head to Columbia. As part of the Fellows program that I am this next year, we are required to do a research project as our "capstone" of sorts. We have to do the research, write a paper, and then give a final presentation! One of the other Fellows that will be in Chillicothe next year with me (Allison) and I went to watch a few of this year's Fellows give their presentations. Following that we drove to Chillicothe for the afternoon so that she could see her classroom and we could spend some time with our mentor, Pam! Go Hornets!

Yesterday (Wednesday), a rare occasion occurred! Ben and I went on a DATE to dinner and a movie! Technically, a movie and then dinner so that we could take advantage of the cheaper daytime prices. Did you know that AMC tickets are only $5 if you go during the day, during the week?? Anyway, we finally say Now You See Me!! It was really good - with a crazy twist ending! I'm not really sure what I think of magic and illusions in reality, but for the sake of this movie and its' storyline... I really enjoyed it! I think they left it open to have a sequel, but who knows. We followed the movie with an easy dinner at Noodles & Company! Yum!

As a random side note - I finally caved and downloaded the Beautiful Mess app! It's an app that you have to pay for on your phone, but you can cutesy edit photos and add filters, borders, words, etc. Here are a couple cheesy pictures that I've done:

The next couple weeks don't show any slowing down. I'm working a number of days a week, finishing up my summer classes (I will be so excited when they're done!!), and Ben and I are going to register next Tuesday! I'm looking forward to picking things that we'll get to use in our home... I'm looking forward to having one of those with him.
