Weekend Wrap up:

Hey guys! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend! Things were definitely busy for us!

Every year Ben's family goes up to Bagley, Wisconsin for the 4th! Bagley has population of 379 (at last census), doesn't have a grocery store or a school, but has 3 bars on their main street. Do with that what you will. It's the epitome of small town celebration over the fourth though because it's right off of the north end of the Mississippi (more like a lake at that part), and all the residents from the surrounding small towns come in for the rodeo, parade, and fireworks! The Duvall's make up a good portion of the people there for the holiday (between 20-40 people from our family and friends alone) because they own three river cottages up there!

Here are a few snapshots of the trip! There aren't many though since cell service is weak up there, and honestly it's just kind of nice to have a little bit of a break from the world!

We started out by stopping in Lamoni, Iowa for some candy and food at the Amish store. I ended up trying Maid-Rite for the first time.

When we got to Bagley is when the real fun started! Ben's mom sent him a waterproof phone holder for when he's out on the water. He's well known in the Duvall clan for having ruined 2 or 3 phones at the river - not all belonging to him!

Then we hit the parade on the 4th!

Here are a few other additional shots from the weekend!

Overall, it was a great trip and it was so nice to see everyone in one place again!
