Kaleidoscope

Truth be told, blog readers... I have been waiting to take a child to Kaleidoscope for years now. Once Athen turned 5, I borrowed him for the day and off we went! I was so excited to visit because to put it frankly - Kaleidoscope was the best place ever as I was growing up!

If you don't know, Kaleidoscope is a free to the public, creative space for kids! It's run by Hallmark and resides at Crown Center right near the Hallmark building! Basically they have free 40 minute sessions all day for you to take your kids in make pretty much any craft you could possibly want to (my favorite was the crowns). But there are also some interactive areas in there - a music "room" and a glow in the dark room with interactive fiberoptic screens. Athen seemed to really enjoy himself, and I even got to make a few things too! ;)

By the end of our time spent there, Athen just wanted to go play so we walked over to the main shopping area of Crown Center and went to the free Curious George exhibit. This was really cool and had a lot of interactive learning activities (shhh, don't tell the kids!).

Have you guys been to any great kid-friendly places lately?
